Available to use immediately upon accrual!12 Paid Holidays!Closed for a week during the winter holidays!PositionAs a Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, and directing all aspects of the Quality department. This role is responsible for implementing and utilizing the AS 9100, ISO 9001-2000, NADCAP, and compliant Quality Management Systems to ensure that our products are manufactured to meet the dimensions, specifications, quality and any other features or requirements specified by our customers. The role is responsible to drive the continuous improvement of customer feedback, management, manufacturing, and supply chain processes.Essential FunctionsEssential functions, including how an individual is to perform them and the frequency with which the tasks are performed; the tasks must be part of the job function and truly necessary or required to perform the job.Manufacturing Engineering ResponsibilitiesDevelopment of tools, work with customers, program managers, and engineering staff to develop techniques and procedures for inspecting and testing company product to meet customer requirementsResponsible for developing and implementing inspection, test and calibration operations & supporting customer, regulatory & compliance auditsOversees analysis on material or product defects, production processes, and customer requirements/specifications in order to recommend or implement modifications in products and/or quality standards where appropriate, including implementing work instructionsManages product deviation requests and other customer quality notifications.Support and continually improves the Quality Management SystemPartners with engineering to manage the document control processEstablishes effective communication channels that ensure the flow of quality-related information to and from vendors, customers, management, and other departmentsIdentifies and develops new quality metrics as needs ariseAssists in development of strategic and tactical plans to ensure achievement of company and departmental goalsRequired QualificationsExperience with AS9100 or ISO9000 quality systemsKnowledge of GD&TKnowledge of lean conceptsAbility to understand and solve proplems.Proven track record in managing a manufacturing quality system with measurable resultsKnowledge of advanced manufacturing, quality assurance, quality control, and related measurement methods and techniquesKnowledge of product inspection standards and sampling, metrology and tools calibration preferredExperience in using statistical data analysis methodology to control and improve the design, product realization (manufacturing) and supply chain related processesKnowledge of supply chain processes and supplier quality management programs for government and prime contractors purchasing, contracting and subcontractingAbility to specify, negotiate and document agreements related to supplier quality requirementsExperience in developing, implementing and managing/leading an effective MRB (material review board) programAbility to lead an effective continuous improvement program (or be part of the team that is responsible) related to both products and processesAbility to interact well with and manage people as well as facilitate interdisciplinary teamsAdapts quickly to changing requirements, resources, and toolsSuperior leadership, communication and interdisciplinary skillsExperience with APQP preferredExperience with RCCA preferredLean certification preferred (Green or Black belt)High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Bachelor's degree in engineering / quality equivalent preferred. ASQ-QE or QM Certification preferred.Prior work experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities in a manufacturing environment preferred.Very proficient with Microsoft office products, document control systems, and databases.Working ConditionsThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
