CT Technologist PRN

PRN CT Technologist Position Pay Range : $35.35 - $45.57 per hour. Employment Type: PRN (As needed). Summary / Objective The CT Technologist performs CT examinations, positions patients, and conducts cross‑sectional anatomical scans using proper technical factors and computer programs to provide image and numerical values of tissue density. Essential Functions Interface with patients to ascertain medical history and provide instructions and explanations of the procedure to obtain the best possible image. Review patient charts for mandatory clinical information and consent; screen patients for surgical implants, contrast allergies, etc. Obtain prior films/exams as needed and perform high‑quality scans to submit to the Radiologist for interpretation. Perform exams while attending to patient care before, during, and after the exam, and notify the appropriate party if the patient’s condition changes at any time. Transfer images to other locations as needed. Coordinate scan protocols with the Radiologist. Maintain and regularly inspect equipment, reporting quality concerns, equipment failures, or deficiencies immediately. Interface with the Lead Technologist and Center/Area Manager regarding departmental concerns. Perform other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities This position has no supervision responsibilities. Work Environment The job operates in an environmentally controlled outpatient clinical environment with potential exposure to radiation, bodily fluids, communicable diseases, toxic substances, and ionizing radiation. Work often requires operating in cool, dimly lit rooms. Physical Demands Employees may exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 30 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly to move objects. Regular use of hands and fingers, reaching with hands and arms, frequent talking, hearing, and correct visual abilities are required. Travel No travel is required. Job Qualifications Two or more years’ experience in Computed Tomography (CT) – preferred. Ability to educate patients about procedures. Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, problem‑solving, team‑player. Ability to excel in a fast‑paced team environment. Ability to continuously exceed company and customer expectations. Education / Certifications Graduate of an accredited Registered Technologist program. Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification. Registry in Computed Tomography (CT). Current state medical board license (if applicable). Current CPR certification. Additional Eligibility Qualifications None required.
