Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to handle incoming and outgoing shipments, prepare products for shipment, maintain inventory accuracy, and assist with warehouse operations. This is a hands-on position that combines shipping, receiving, forklift operation, computer work, and material handling.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare finished products for shipment using proper packing procedures
Create UPS and FedEx shipping labels and manage shipments through shipping software
Prepare pallets for LTL shipments and coordinate freight pickups
Complete bills of lading, schedule pickups, compare freight quotes, and communicate with customers and carriers
Create and apply pallet labels and shipping documentation
Operate a forklift and stand-up lift truck to load, unload, and move materials
Receive, inspect, count, weigh, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and other records
Identify damaged items and shortages and communicate issues with QC and Purchasing
Enter and maintain shipment and purchase order records in the MRP system
Maintain accurate inventory of shipping materials and supplies
Deliver parts and materials to assembly departments
Monitor orders that have been packed or placed on hold
Maintain organized pallet racks and warehouse areas
Follow quality procedures and maintain good housekeeping
Perform other warehouse and shipping duties as assigned

Requirements

Previous shipping, receiving, or warehouse experience preferred
Forklift experience and forklift certification required
Ability to operate a stand-up lift truck safely
Basic computer and typing skills
Ability to learn and use UPS WorldShip, FedEx applications, and MRP systems
Ability to read and follow written instructions, safety rules, and company procedures
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, customers, vendors, and management
Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
High school education or equivalent combination of education and experience

Requires standing, walking, lifting, bending, kneeling, and occasional climbing
Low to moderate noise level
