What you'll do: Select, develop and maintain measurement systems and metrology tools. Create SOPs and workflows for sample measurement and provide written and verbal training for staff. Develop and use data management systems including laboratory information management systems and manufacturing execution systems. What we’re looking for: B.S. in a technical field or equivalent industrial experience, including materials science, electrical engineering, or physics. 7+ years of experience working as a process or metrology engineer. Thorough understanding of measurement systems, including optical and electron microscopy, surface probe measurements, optical and NIR probes, and X‑ray measurements. Experience working with metrology vendors and directing metrology service providers. Ability to successfully work with internal customers. Commitment to safety and quality. Ability to take directions from supervisors and work independently in a fast‑paced, startup environment. Ability to create work instructions for staff and technicians, and provide training. Meticulous attention to detail. Excellent communication (written and verbal) and teamwork skills. Bonus points for: M.S. or Ph.D. preferred. Experience in semiconductor, battery, solar cell, optoelectronics or related fields. Experience with high‑uptime systems. Must‑have Requirements: Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Perform activities such as stooping, climbing, typing, standing, or sitting for extended periods of time. Dedication to safety to mitigate industrial hazards that may include heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead (Pb), high voltage, and cryogenics. Willingness to travel or work required nights, weekends, on‑call occasionally, including compressed work‑week shift schedule. Salary $110,000 - $185,000 a year, plus equity and benefits.
