Registered Nurse (RN) - Acute Care

Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Schedule: FT day/night variable shift (3x12s) scheduled as needed + EOW, holiday + 2 On Call shifts per 4-week

Assignment Details: Contract Length: 14 weeks

Requirements:

• BLS, ACLS, PALS, Stroke Certification (Must be AHA or RQI)
• NYS RN Licensure
• Two years of acute hospital experience as an RN
• One year of ED hospital experience as an RN

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assess and prioritize patient needs in emergency situations, providing direct and compassionate care.
• Conduct thorough assessments of patients, identifying critical needs and documenting deviations from normal conditions.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement care plans tailored to individual patient circumstances.
• Educate patients and families on care requirements and home instructions post-discharge, ensuring understanding and retention.
• Maintain effective communication with patients and families throughout their care journey, addressing comfort needs and concerns.
• Facilitate a healing environment by acknowledging the emotional and psychological needs of patients and their families.
