Job Summary

We are seeking individuals to join our client’s team as Credentialing Specialists. You will be responsible for facilitating all aspects of provider credentialing, including initial appointment, reappointment, credential audits, and clinical privileging for Medical Staff, Allied Health Professionals, and other providers in accordance with corporate policies, procedures, and hospital bylaws.

Job Description

• Healthcare Experience: Must have relevant experience in healthcare credentialing.
• Credentialing & Re-Credentialing: Responsible for all aspects of provider credentialing and re-credentialing.
• License Renewals: Ensures physician and provider licenses are renewed prior to expiration.
• Primary Source Verification: Completes primary source verification for new and existing providers to ensure due diligence.
• Records Management: Maintains assigned physician/provider files and updates documentation and actions as processed.
• Database Management: Utilizes database status/alert and reporting functions, software tools, and links to scanned documentation.
• Data Accuracy: Ensures that credentialing information is current and accurate.
• Credentialing Standards: Maintains consistency in database entry to ensure accurate and consistent credentialing processes.
• Team Support: Provides credentialing backup coverage for other members of the credentialing team.

Skills Required

• Must have experience as a Credentialing Specialist within healthcare credentialing
• Understand hospital credentialing workflows, accreditation standards, timelines, and payer/privileging requirements—not agency onboarding processes.

Education/Training/Certifications

• Bachelor’s Degree- Required

Additional Requirements

• Shift Time: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Open to all facilities (Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens) EXCEPT Central Office - please highlight what locations worker is available to work at on resume (they will only be required to work at one site).

  Pay Rate

• $25-$30 per hour, based on experience, skills, and market factors
