Cheeky's is a neighborhood seafood restaurant and oyster bar in St. Petersburg's Grand Central District. We're a salty Old Florida fish shack meets classic New England oyster bar -- fresh food, real hospitality and a team that takes care of each other.

We're hiring dishwashers who show up, work hard and want to be part of something good.

The Role:  The dish station is the backbone of the kitchen. You keep it running clean and fast so the whole team can do their best work. This is an entry-level position with a real path forward for anyone who wants to grow in a professional kitchen.

What You'll Do:  Run the dish station before, during and after service. Wash, sort and return dishes, glassware and cookware to the line. Keep the kitchen clean -- floors, trash, soak tubs. Support the BOH team wherever needed. Take pride in the station you own.

Schedule:  Full-time hourly. Five days a week with two consecutive days off. Rotating holidays.

Job Details:  You'll have a great relationship with your Sous Chef and Executive Chef, who will provide clear expectations and support to exceed in this role.

• Sorting and rinsing dirty dishes, glass, tableware, and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through the dish machine
• Sorting and stacking clean dishes; carrying clean dishes to cook's line and other proper storage areas; rewashing soiled dishes before delivering
• Changing dishwater in dish machine every hour
• Washing pots, pans, and trays by hand
• Removing trash and garbage and bringing it to the dumpster
• Setting up and breaking-down dishwashing area
• Filling/emptying soak tubs with cleaning and sanitizing solutions
• Sweeping/mopping floors
• Assembling/disassembling dish machine

Skills

• Restaurant experience preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
• Frequent reaching, bending, and stooping required to perform kitchen duties
• Must be able to lift and carry items up to 25 pounds regularly, such as trays with food and beverages.
• Ability to move quickly and efficiently in kitchen areas.
• Work is performed in a fast-paced, indoor environment that may include exposure to varying levels of noise and temperature changes.
