Job Title

Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab / Electrophysiology (EP) Lab

Location

Rochester, NY

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 4x10-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM) | No Weekends, Holidays, or On-Call Required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and/or circulate for EP lab procedures including cardiac ablations, pacemaker insertions, and AICD insertions/programming
• Perform and assist with cardiac mapping, cardioversion, conduction studies, and baseline measurements
• Administer and monitor emergency medications, IV vasopressors, antihypertensives, thrombolytics, and blood products
• Perform sheath removal and monitoring, topical hemostasis, and vascular closure system management
• Conduct phlebotomy and peripheral IV placement as required competencies
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias, perform Activated Clotting Time (ACT) monitoring, and maintain implanted ports

Required Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered New York State RN license required prior to submission (pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab or EP Lab nursing experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records (hard requirement)
• Ability to scrub procedures and operate Micropace monitoring system for ablations
• Competency in phlebotomy and peripheral IV placement

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with vascular closure systems such as Perclose and StarClose
• Familiarity with topical hemostasis agents including D-Stat, Chito-Seal, and Syvek Patch
• Prior travel nursing experience in a cardiac specialty setting
