Material Handler
The Material Handler verifies and maintains records of incoming and outgoing shipments, coordinates the movement of materials and products, and ensures accurate inventory and asset tracking. This role supports production by planning, organizing, and monitoring materials through the entire production cycle while adhering to company procedures and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Verify and maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Receive materials and products, ensuring proper documentation and labeling.
- Ship materials and products in accordance with established procedures and schedules.
- Coordinate transportation and logistics for materials and finished goods.
- Plan, organize, and monitor the flow of materials through the production cycle.
- Determine material requirements based on production schedules and priorities.
- Coordinate closely with Purchasing, Production, and Engineering departments to ensure material availability and resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor inventory levels and support asset tracking activities to maintain accurate stock information.
- Assist with purchasing-related activities as they relate to material handling and inventory control.
- Perform accurate data entry into the ERP system and other tracking tools.
- Use RF scanners and related equipment to track and manage materials.
- Follow all company procedures, safety regulations, and attendance requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with facility standards.
Essential Skills
- Experience in receiving and shipping materials in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proficiency using RF scanners for material tracking and inventory management.
- Ability to work with an ERP system and perform accurate data entry.
- Strong attention to detail for verifying shipment records and inventory data.
- Ability to plan and organize material movement through the production cycle.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with Purchasing, Production, and Engineering teams.
- Commitment to following safety regulations, company procedures, and attendance requirements.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Comfort and confidence using ERP systems as part of daily workflow.
- Familiarity with inventory control, asset tracking, and basic purchasing processes.
- Ability to work with shipping documents and maintain organized records.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and material flow is beneficial.

Work Environment
This role is based in a manufacturing plant environment where you will work on the production floor and in related material handling areas. You will operate in variable environmental conditions, including temperature instability and exposure to atmospheric conditions such as fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, or vapors. You may work around solvents and other industrial chemicals, following all safety guidelines and using appropriate protective measures. The setting is fast-paced and hands-on, requiring comfort with industrial equipment, scanning devices, and computer systems used for ERP and inventory tracking.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mcminnville, OR.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $20.50/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
