Job Title

Travel RN – Telemetry (Night Shift)

Location

Wichita, KS | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 37-bed Intermediate Care / Telemetry unit with a patient ratio of 1:6 (1:4 for Heart Cath patients)
• Monitor and manage patients on telemetry, including those recovering from Heart Cath procedures and bubble studies
• Operate and manage equipment including PCA pumps, IV pumps, and chest tubes
• Assist with and oversee central line care and medication drips
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Patient Care Techs and Unit Clerks

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid for practice in Kansas
• Minimum 1 year of hospital Telemetry experience
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience with Meditech EMR
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Experience with Heart Cath recovery and bubble studies
