We are currently seeking a Manual Machinist for one of our clients, a reputable manufacturing company. This is a full-time position with a M-F, 9a-6p, 1pm-10pm Must available for the 2nd shift will train on the 1st shiftJob OverviewAs a Manual Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating manual machines to produce precision parts. You will work with a variety of materials including metal, plastic, and composite materials. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience working with manual machines.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate manual machines such as lathes, milling machines, and grindersRead and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine specifications and tolerancesUse precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy of partsSelect appropriate cutting tools and adjust machine settings for each jobMonitor machine operations and make adjustments as neededInspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality standardsTroubleshoot and resolve issues with machines as neededMaintain a clean and organized work areaFollow all safety protocols and regulationsQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 2 years of experience as a manual machinistProficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprintsStrong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine operationsExperience working with various materials such as metal, plastic, and compositesAbility to use precision measuring instrumentsFamiliarity with machine maintenance and troubleshootingStrong attention to detail and ability to work with tight tolerancesAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong work ethic and commitment to qualityWillingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processesPrior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferredWe OfferCompetitive salaryFull benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) retirement planPaid time off and holidaysOngoing training and development opportunitiesFriendly and supportive work environmentIf you have a passion for precision machining and are looking for a challenging and rewarding opportunity, we encourage you to apply for this position.
