About This Office

Dental Care at Jordan Ranch is looking for a full-time dental hygienist to join our growing team in Katy, Texas. We are seeking an experienced, patient-focused hygienist who is passionate about preventive care, periodontal health, and building lasting relationships with patients. Our ideal candidate is compassionate, dependable, detail-oriented, and thrives in a collaborative environment where teamwork and patient care are top priorities. As a clinical provider and patient advocate, you will play a key role in educating patients, promoting treatment acceptance, and helping patients achieve optimal oral health. You'll work alongside a supportive team that values professionalism, growth, communication, and high-quality care.

Schedule:

Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Thursday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Hours are subject to change as the practice continues to grow. Friday hours may expand to 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM as an additional doctor joins the team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive dental hygiene services including preventive and therapeutic care
• Perform patient screenings, assessments, periodontal charting, and oral health evaluations
• Conduct scaling and root planing procedures as needed
• Develop and communicate individualized treatment recommendations based on patient needs
• Deliver exceptional patient education regarding oral health, periodontal disease, home care, and recommended treatment
• Take diagnostic radiographs and maintain accurate patient records
• Partner with doctors to identify treatment opportunities and support same-day treatment acceptance when appropriate
• Monitor patient progress and reinforce treatment recommendations to improve overall health outcomes
• Maintain compliance with infection control, sterilization, and regulatory protocols
• Contribute to a positive patient experience by building trust and fostering long-term relationships
• Collaborate effectively with doctors, clinical support staff, and administrative team members to support practice goals
• Help create a professional, welcoming, and patient-centered office culture

Qualifications:

• Current dental hygienist license in the state of Texas or the ability to obtain licensure prior to employment
• 2-3 years of clinical dental hygiene experience preferred
• Strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing high-quality preventive and periodontal care
• Experience with periodontal charting, scaling and root planing, dental hygiene assessments, treatment planning, and patient education preferred
• Excellent communication and patient education skills
• Ability to build patient trust and encourage treatment acceptance through education
• Compassionate, dependable, detail-oriented, and patient-focused approach to care
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
• Experience with Dentrix is preferred but not required
• Proficiency with digital dental imaging is a plus
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint), Microsoft Teams, and dental practice management systems is preferred but not required
