RN Wound Care Nurse

Position Overview RN, Wound Care Nurse at NHC HealthCare St Charles Position: Wound Care Nurse, RN (Registered Nurse) / LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) Responsibilities Assess and evaluate patients with wounds and injuries, ensuring optimum patient care delivery in wound care nursing procedures. Provide preventative care to prevent infection and complications. Educate and coordinate care with other health professionals. Primarily responsible for overseeing the Wound Care Measures. Communicate changes in patients’ conditions to physicians, supervisors, family members, dieticians, and other partners as appropriate. Act as a go-to person for partner support. Provide education to partners through in-services and one-on-one learning. Investigate, track and trend identified areas of opportunities. Provide partner support and coaching. On‑call rotation with other nurse managers. Qualifications Must have a Missouri Registered Nurse (RN) license or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license. Superior communication skills and effective leadership. Flexible, caring, compassionate, and a team player. Prior experience in wound care preferred, but not required.
