Branch Manager – Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Bank of Zachary is seeking an experienced, relationship-focused Branch Manager to lead our new Baton Rouge location off Highland Road. This position is responsible for overseeing daily branch operations, leading and developing branch employees, delivering an exceptional customer experience, and driving branch growth through business development and community involvement.

The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader with extensive banking experience, strong knowledge of retail banking and lending, and a proven ability to develop profitable customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership, supervision, coaching, and performance feedback to branch employees

• Oversee branch staffing, scheduling, training, security procedures, and daily operations

• Support retail staff in attracting core deposits and providing superior service to new and existing customers

• Proactively prospect for new business and identify opportunities to cross-market bank products and services

• Build, develop, and retain profitable customer and community relationships

• Provide a full range of customer services, including opening and maintaining accounts, accepting consumer loan applications, and assisting with CDs, IRAs, and safe deposit boxes

• Resolve customer concerns and provide management-level approvals when necessary

• Maintain a welcoming, professional, and customer-focused branch environment

• Represent Bank of Zachary through community involvement, civic organizations, and public-relations activities

• Assist with teller responsibilities and other branch functions as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

• Five to seven years of experience with a financial institution

• Advanced knowledge of banking processes, procedures, products, services, and workflows

• Strong working knowledge of the banking and lending industries

• Proven leadership, business-development, and relationship-building skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to prioritize responsibilities, manage multiple projects, and work independently

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel and familiarity with bank teller software
