What You'll Do

• Conduct chemical analyses of body fluids such as blood, urine, and spinal fluids to identify normal and abnormal components
• Analyze blood cells via microscopy, counting and identifying cell types
• Prepare blood, plasma, and platelets for transfusions, including blood typing and compatibility testing
• Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory analyzers and equipment to ensure optimal functioning
• Maintain accurate inventory of laboratory supplies and order as needed
• Ensure compliance with all quality assurance and quality control standards
• Assist in preparing reports based on laboratory findings
• Adhere to infection control, hazardous waste, and safety policies to maintain a clean, safe working environment
• Keep current with professional development through workshops, publications, and networking opportunities
• Support laboratory operations by performing other duties as assigned

What You Need

• Valid Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) license or certification
• Relevant experience in a clinical laboratory setting

• Experience working with laboratory analyzers and diagnostic equipment
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
