Responsibilities
- Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervises and directs activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff.
- Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.
- Maintains accurate and timely documentation and prioritizes patient safety.
- Communicates effectively with patients, families, and the health care team to ensure continuity of care and patient education.
