The Enterprise Effects Division (EED) drives integration of Aerospace’s strategic capabilities across the national space enterprise. The division leverages a broad array of engineering disciplines against a dynamic portfolio of programs, customers, and national challenges. EED spans the capability lifecycle from concept and architecture design to performance assessment to application of space and space-enabled capabilities. The Surveillance and Navigation Architecture Performance Department (SNAPD) in the Integrated Performance Subdivision aspires to be the premier force advising the evolution of national security and civil space enterprises, leveraging our modeling and simulation (M&S) expertise to evaluate end-to-end architecture performance. Within SNAPD, the Navigation and Positioning Architectures Section (NPAS) develops and maintains technical capabilities in modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) to perform requirements verification, analyses-of-alternatives (AoA), and performance evaluation for navigation and positioning systems. Work Model This full-time position requires 100% onsite work in El Segundo, CA, Chantilly, VA, or Colorado Springs, CO. What You’ll Be Doing Serve as integration leader for analysis that drives recommendations for research, development, and acquisition decisions for legacy and emerging navigation and positioning systems Serve as a key point of contact and advise key stakeholders for specialized technical expertise in geolocation, PNT architecture analysis or PNT resilience Lead cross-department teams in conducting specialized technical analysis and development tasks Independently translate customer needs into project objectives and provide technical evaluations Perform end-to-end (E2E) performance evaluations and analysis-of-alternatives (AoA) using in-house or internally developed analysis tools Serve as a technical mentor to junior staff in one or more department focus areas, coordinating training and delivering a strategy for maintaining and deepening department capabilities Develop and present timely and technically accurate presentations and reports that clearly communicate analysis results to technical leads, management, and customers Support development and sustainment of the organization’s analysis and simulation tools and capabilities Build and maintain a strong network of customers and collaborators by forming effective working relationships with cross-organization internal partners, government customers, and contractor teammates What You Need To Be Successful Minimum Requirements: B.S. degree in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, systems engineering, mathematics, or a related discipline from an accredited school 8 or more years of relevant professional, technical, and program management work experience Professional experience with one or more of the following subjects: space-related modeling and simulation, geolocation, mission data processing, signal processing, space threats, resilient systems, advanced PNT technologies, algorithm design, software development, or mathematical modeling Proficiency with one or more software languages such as Python, C, C++, MATLAB, Fortran, Java This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required How You Can Stand Out Graduate degree in one of the fields of study mentioned above Current, active TS/SCI security clearance Significant experience in one or more of the functional/mission areas listed above Demonstrated technical leadership, personal accountability, and adaptability to changing customer expectations Knowledge of Intelligence Community or U.S. Department of Defense business practices, acquisition policies, or space mission portfolios Compensation Grade-based pay range for this job: $132,900.00 - $199,300.00 (annual).
