Legal Billing Specialist

Our client is a well-established public accounting firm seeking a detail-oriented Client Billing Specialist to join their team. This role is responsible for managing the firm’s billing process, ensuring invoices are accurate and timely, and providing exceptional communication with partners, staff, and clients. Responsibilities Prepare, review, and process client invoices using time and billing software. Coordinate with partners and managers to finalize billing and resolve discrepancies. Maintain billing schedules and ensure invoices are issued accurately and on time. Respond to client billing questions professionally and promptly. Monitor work-in-progress reports and assist with billing adjustments. Process write-ups, write-downs, and billing corrections. Maintain accurate client records and billing documentation. Collaborate with the accounting team to support collections and accounts receivable as needed. Identify opportunities to improve billing efficiency and accuracy. Qualifications 3+ years of billing experience in a CPA firm, law firm, consulting firm, or other professional services environment. Strong understanding of accounting principles and billing processes. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-service mindset. Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office. Experience with accounting or practice management software is preferred. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Experience Public accounting or professional services experience. Time and billing software such as CCH, Practice CS, QuickBooks, or similar platforms. Experience working directly with partners and high-value clients.
