What You’ll Be Selling

Great Lakes Wholesale offers a broad assortment of tools, hardware, general merchandise, and consumer goods to wholesale customers, distributors, retailers, and other business accounts.

This is a B2B wholesale sales position . You’ll work directly with business customers to understand what they need, introduce new products and opportunities, and help them find merchandise that makes sense for their business and their customers.

Success in this role comes from understanding your customers, building strong relationships, knowing your products, following up consistently, and always looking for the next opportunity to grow the account.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and grow an assigned sales territory through proactive prospecting, customer visits, and consistent follow-up.
\n
• Prospect and open new wholesale and business accounts , including wholesalers, distributors, retailers, and other qualified business customers.
\n
• Identify and pursue new B2B sales opportunities throughout your territory.
\n
• Build strong, long-term relationships with customers through regular face-to-face meetings.
\n
• Present products, introduce new items, and recommend opportunities that help customers grow their businesses.
\n
• Manage and grow existing wholesale and business accounts while continuously developing new customers.
\n
• Look for opportunities to expand product assortment and increase sales within existing accounts.
\n
• Follow up on leads and opportunities with persistence and professionalism.
\n
• Travel throughout your territory, including overnight travel as needed.
\n
• Attend and represent Great Lakes Wholesale at regional and national trade shows.
\n
• Collaborate with customer service, purchasing, and operations to provide an outstanding customer experience.
\n
• Meet or exceed territory sales goals and performance expectations.
\n
• Maintain accurate CRM records and provide regular updates on sales activities, opportunities, and territory growth.
\n

Qualifications

\n
• At least 1 year of sales experience required.
\n
• B2B or outside sales experience preferred, particularly selling to wholesalers, distributors, retailers, or other business customers.
\n
• Experience in wholesale distribution, tools, hardware, general merchandise, consumer goods, or related industries is a plus.
\n
• Experience prospecting, opening new accounts, and developing a sales territory is a plus.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
\n
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
\n
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and CRM software.
\n
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
\n
• Ability and willingness to travel approximately 30%, including overnight travel as needed.
\n
