Position Position Summary Under the supervision of the Nursing Manager, expedites daily nursing functions including administering and dispensing medication, patient assessments, intake/admissions, documentation, and other clinical functions to enhance the overall treatment of patients at theRoot Center for Advanced Recovery. Maintains all record keeping and contributes to the overall care of patients. Hourly Rate : $40.00 – $48.00. Actual pay will be determined based on education, work experience, and certifications. We strive for market alignment and internal equity with colleagues’ pay. Essential Functions Dispensing medication; administers and dispenses medication as prescribed by the prescriber and in compliance with applicable regulations. Intake/admissions; may work with the clinic provider to complete admission and annual physicals. May record patient vitals, obtain laboratory specimens (including phlebotomy), and complete other assigned tasks within scope of practice as directed. Assessments/Specimen collection; performs direct observation of client prior to dosing including general physical presentation and mental status to confirm suitability for the daily oral dose. Collects urinalysis specimens and other samples, reviews lab results, and informs supervisor of discrepancies. Counseling; provides counseling in health-related areas, including prenatal care, child and nutritional care, and general hygiene. Reporting; communicates changes in condition to the provider and/or clinic supervisor. Record keeping and documentation; documents services provided, patient response, and any changes in condition. Coordination of nursing and medical services within the clinic and arranges referrals to outside medical agencies for specialized treatment. Maintains accurate medical records in accordance with organizational standards, CARF Accreditation standards, and Federal/State requirements. May be required to take and record patient vitals and perform other assigned tasks. Special Responsibilities and Expectations Flexibility to work hours at variable clinics. May be deployed to alternate clinics when necessary. Timely response to requests for additional resources. duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed as assigned by management. Orientation/Training Employee participates in orientation and training required by regulatory and funding agencies, including corporate compliance and HIPAA Privacy and Security. Qualifications/Skills Required Current active license in the State of Connecticut as a Registered Nurse with at least one year of nursing experience and demonstrated ability to work with patients within the scope of this rehabilitation program. BSN license preferred. Certified Addictions Registered Nurse (CARN) or Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing is preferred. Adult. CPR/AED or BLS certification.
