Warehouse AssociateLocation: Elkhart, IN (7440)Duration: 4+ Month ContractPay Rate: $16.00/hour on W2Shift: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PMJob DescriptionThe Warehouse Associate performs receiving, stock keeping, picking, packing, and shipping activities. This role is also responsible for counter sales, housekeeping, and related quality assurance activities while supporting daily warehouse operations.Primary ResponsibilitiesHandle all incoming shipments.Perform verification of purchased products and enter order receipts into the computer system.Perform quality assurance inspections when appropriate.Place received material, after segregating backorders, into proper warehouse storage locations.Relocate and consolidate material when appropriate and notify management of new bin/table locations.Pull, pack, weigh, and label materials for shipment, including assemble and hold orders.Prepare bills of lading and express receipts.Assist in loading trucks.Prepare local delivery records and complete applicable blocks on the pick ticket.Maintain appropriate forms pending return of material.Inspect the condition of returned material prior to completing return authorization forms.Pull stock and return it to the correct location pending credit memo, sale, or return to supplier.Clean the warehouse and trucking/parking area.Assemble and disassemble bins, racks, shelves, and tables as needed.Administer preventative maintenance programs for delivery vehicles and warehouse equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety practices.Record verbal and written customer complaints regarding product or service dissatisfaction and process complaints by responding with corrective actions or directing them to the department supervisor or manager when necessary.Maintain counter stock as needed.Assist with over-the-counter sales when required.RequirementsHigh School Degree or Equivalent.Basic computer skills.Working EnvironmentWork is generally performed in a warehouse environment.The noise level is moderately quiet.Warehouse is generally well ventilated and well lighted.Employees may be exposed to all kinds of weather.Protective clothing may be required.Operates heavy equipment.Must follow strict safety regulations.Physical RequirementsWork is physically strenuous.Must be able to lift heavy packages up to 50 pounds.Required to use hand tools.Employee BenefitsAt LanceSoft, full-time regular employees who work a minimum of 30 hours a week or more are entitled to the following benefits:Four options of medical InsuranceDental and Vision Insurance401k ContributionsCritical Illness InsuranceVoluntary Permanent Life InsuranceAccident InsuranceOther Employee PerksEEO EmployerLanceSoft is a certified Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and an equal-opportunity employer.
