Overview Weekend Inpatient PsychiatristLocation: Pacific Grove Hospital, 5900 Brockton Ave, Riverside, CA 92506We are currently seeking to add an Inpatient Psychiatrist to join our team!About the role:This role is responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of mental illnesses through a combination of personal counseling (psychotherapy), psychoanalysis, hospitalization and/or medication.Pacific Grove Hospital is a 68-bed acute psychiatric and chemical dependency hospital. The one-story building is situated on 4.5 acres in the heart of Riverside, California. Our private hospital campus treats voluntary patients on three units. All of our units are self-contained with private courtyards, laundry facilities, patient lounges, and semi-private rooms.Caseload: 1.5 units; 34 bedsSchedule: Saturday and Sunday, flexible schedule during business hours (2 weekends per month; or more if requested)On Call Schedule: Friday 5pm to Monday 7amCompensation: 1099 Contractor; Per eval and per follow up Responsibilities Responsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facilityPractice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations, as well as by corporate, facility policy or proceduresReview medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendationsEvaluate patients for mental, emotional or behavioral disordersTreat or direct treatment of patients, utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medicationsReview and complete medical information for individual care plans, documents services and information in a timely mannerMaintain confidential documentation, compliance and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures Qualifications Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) REQUIREDOne or more years’ post graduate degree practice preferredLicensed in the state in which the facility(s) operateLicenses/CertificationsBoard Certification or Board Eligibility in psychiatryCurrent DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.Our Comprehensive Treatment Network~23,500 Employees · ~11,400 Beds · 258 Locations · 38 States · 1 Network As a leading provider of behavioral healthcare services in the United States and Puerto Rico, Acadia Healthcare operates 258 treatment facilities across 38 states.
