Social Media Engagement Specialist

Working remotely on a contracted basis, the Social Media Engagement Specialist will manage community moderation and proactive engagement for a major retail brand's social media channels, focusing on enhancing customer experience and optimizing community interactions with a commitment of at least 24 hours per week. Key responsibilities Moderate and monitor community interactions across various social media platforms, ensuring adherence to client engagement guidelines Engage with community members through reactive responses and proactive conversations, while identifying and escalating customer service inquiries as needed Collaborate with the internal team to optimize community engagement strategies and provide insights on trends and user-generated content Required qualifications Availability to work a mix of shifts between 9am-5pm EST any day of the week 2+ years of experience in consumer-facing marketing or 1.5+ years managing online communities for consumer brands Professional experience using social media platforms such as Facebook, X, Instagram, and TikTok for brand engagement Experience with third-party community engagement tools like Sprinklr or Hootsuite Strong organizational skills and the ability to follow defined workflows independently
