Nutrition Services Substitute

Under direct supervision, the Nutrition Services Substitute performs food prep, service and kitchen cleaning duties, and does related work as required. Decisions and determinations are based clearly on defined procedures and instructions or on well-defined rules and regulations. This person must interact in a professional manner with students, staff, and the public on a regular basis. The Nutrition Services Substitute works under the supervision of the Nutrition Services Supervisor.

***We are very interested in substitutes who would like to work in multiple departments. Let us know if you're looking for employment and would also like experience/training in Facilities, Custodial and/or Transportation!! We also have opportunities for substituting in buildings as classroom assistants if you are subbing in other departments.***

Qualifications:

• Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate in a positive manner
• Ability to read, understand and carry out oral and written instructions
• Possess, or ability to obtain, an OR Food Handler's Permit
• Ability to lift 50lbs and work outdoors in variable weather conditions
• Previous experience preferred
• Fingerprinting and Criminal History Check at employee's expense is Required once hired

Essential Job Functions:

• Performs food preparation duties
• May serve food
• Performs cleaning, dish washing and other general duties in a kitchen or serving area.

This position could work any of 4 cafeteria positions as needed and/or assigned by supervisor:

Substitute Asst Cook/Dishwasher - $19.04/hour

Substitute Nutrition Clerk - $19.88/hour

Substitute Lead Cook - $21.69/hour
