Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a specialized medical-surgical and telemetry unit. This position requires a commitment to providing high-quality patient care to individuals with chronic kidney disease, acute kidney injury, and end-stage renal disease.

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients in accordance with established protocols and standards.
Monitor and assess patient conditions, document progress, and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
Manage patient treatments and medications as prescribed.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
Participate in patient education, encouraging adherence to treatment plans and promoting overall health.

Shift Details

This position offers a day shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week, working from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Nurses will be expected to work every other weekend and rotate holidays as required. Floating to other units may be necessary based on patient care needs.

Qualifications

Must have at least 2 years of nursing experience in an inpatient setting. First-time travelers will not be considered.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
Experience in Renal nursing is highly preferred, specifically with populations experiencing chronic kidney disease, acute kidney injury, and end-stage renal disease.
Prior telemetry experience is necessary.
Ability to manage a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6.
Familiarity with the EPIC electronic health record system is required.
