Join ABEC as an Electrical Designer/Drafter.ABEC is seeking an Electrical Designer/Drafter to create electrical schematics, control-panel drawings, conduit layouts and bills of material for custom-engineered equipment used in biopharmaceutical manufacturing.This is an industrial controls and equipment-design role, not an IT, software or network-infrastructure position. Experience with PLC/DCS hardware, process instrumentation, motor controls and AutoCAD Electrical is strongly preferred.What you'll do:Design electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts and conduit schedulesCreate panel assembly drawings and bills of materialApply I/O lists, P&IDs, customer specifications and applicable codesSupport PLC, DCS, VFD and motor-control designsWork with engineers, manufacturing, project teams and field serviceVerify installations and support equipment startupsMaintain design documentation and ERP dataIdentify continuous-improvement opportunitiesTravel as requiredWhat you bring:Two-year technical degree or equivalent experienceTwo or more years of industrial electrical design experienceExperience with control systems, instrumentation and motor controlsAutoCAD Electrical experienceAbility to read electrical drawings and P&IDsFamiliarity with drafting standards, electrical codes and bills of materialStrong attention to detail and communication skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities independently and as part of a teamBonus points for:Rockwell, Siemens or DeltaV PLC/DCS hardwareSyteline, SAP or another ERP systemEPLAN Electric P8 or Pro PanelPanel assembly, wiring or commissioningBiopharmaceutical, industrial equipment or custom-machinery manufacturingWhy ABEC:High growth, high impact industryWork on complex, meaningful systemsLearning.
