Travel Speech Language Pathologist

Position Summary We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Travel Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, voice, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders. The SLP will develop individualized treatment plans, collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, and provide high-quality rehabilitative care while adapting to various clinical settings. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing evaluations. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and physician referrals. Provide evidence-based therapy for speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and dysphagia disorders. Conduct bedside and clinical swallowing evaluations and recommend appropriate dietary modifications when indicated. Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on therapy techniques, home exercise programs, and safe swallowing strategies. Maintain accurate evaluations, progress notes, treatment documentation, and discharge summaries in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Collaborate with physicians, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, dietitians, and other healthcare professionals. Participate in discharge planning and coordinate continuity of patient care. Ensure compliance with infection prevention protocols, HIPAA regulations, patient safety standards, and facility policies. Adapt quickly to new facilities, workflows, and patient populations while maintaining high-quality patient care. Required Qualifications Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in the state of practice. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA required or eligible. Current BLS certification required. Minimum 1 year of recent Speech-Language Pathology experience preferred. Strong knowledge of speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders. Excellent communication, critical-thinking, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Experience with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems preferred. Preferred Qualifications Previous travel healthcare experience preferred. Experience in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient therapy, skilled nursing facilities (SNF), home health, or long-term care settings. Experience treating adult and/or pediatric patients with neurological, post-surgical, and medically complex conditions. Experience with dysphagia management, cognitive rehabilitation, and communication disorders. Strong adaptability and ability to quickly integrate into new clinical environments.
