Head of Engineering

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Head of Engineering to lead all aspects of engineering operations and innovation. This role requires a visionary leader who can align engineering initiatives with business objectives, foster a culture of technical excellence, and guide a multidisciplinary team toward continuous improvement and innovation. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, deep technical expertise, and a proven ability to manage complex engineering programs from concept to execution.

Position Responsibilities

Leadership and Strategy

• Provide overall leadership and direction for the engineering department, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
• Develop and implement long-term engineering strategies to support product development, process optimization, and operational excellence.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability within the engineering team.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to define and execute the company’s technology roadmap.

Project and Process Management

• Oversee the planning, design, and execution of engineering projects across multiple disciplines.
• Ensure that all engineering deliverables meet established performance, safety, and quality standards.
• Establish and manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Implement standardized processes and best practices for project management and technical documentation.

Technical Excellence and Innovation

• Drive the adoption of new technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance engineering capabilities.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers, ensuring continuous learning and skill development.
• Lead initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes, improve product performance, and reduce costs.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and internal quality protocols.

Collaboration and Communication

• Partner closely with Operations, Product Development, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to ensure cohesive execution of engineering projects.
• Communicate engineering strategies, progress, and results effectively to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Promote cross-functional collaboration to accelerate innovation and improve efficiency.

Prerequisites

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
• Master’s degree in Engineering or Business Administration preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive engineering experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
• Proven ability to manage complex engineering projects and cross-functional teams.
• Strong background in manufacturing, product design, or process engineering.
• Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated success in driving operational improvements and implementing innovative engineering solutions.

Certifications (Preferred, but Not Required)

• Professional Engineer (PE) License
• Project Management Professional (PMP)
• Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green or Black Belt)
• Certified Engineering Manager (CEM)
