Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) in Hackensack, New Jersey. This position involves providing comprehensive respiratory care therapy and supportive equipment in accordance with department policies under supervision. The role includes assisting with intubation, ventilator management, patient evaluation, and education, with a focus on the cardiopulmonary needs of pediatric patients. The technician must work nights on a 12-hour shift schedule, with requirements for floating to various adult and intermediate care areas.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Every other weekend and holidays are required.
• Required Qualifications: - 1+ year of recent experience working as a licensed Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - 1+ year of ICU experience - Previous ventilator management experience - Must have an active New Jersey Respiratory Care license - Valid NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification - Current BLS - AHA, ACLS, PALS certifications - Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program - High school diploma or equivalent

• Additional Information: The respiratory therapist will deliver patient-specific education, perform intubation assistance, and manage ventilators.
