A highly engaged philanthropic organization is seeking a Portfolio & Program Manager to join its collaborative and mission-driven team. The organization manages a diverse portfolio of nonprofit and community-focused initiatives and is seeking a thoughtful professional who combines strong analytical capabilities with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.

In this role, you will oversee a portfolio of nonprofit partnerships, conduct research and due diligence on prospective funding opportunities, evaluate impact and outcomes, and help inform strategic grantmaking decisions. You will regularly engage with nonprofit leaders, peer organizations, and industry stakeholders while contributing to discussions that shape the organization's philanthropic priorities.

What You'll Do

• Conduct research, analysis, and due diligence on prospective funding opportunities
• Evaluate nonprofit organizations, programs, leadership teams, and financial health
• Prepare concise and compelling summaries, recommendations, and briefing materials for leadership
• Manage a portfolio of nonprofit partnerships and grant relationships
• Review organizational progress and assess outcomes against intended impact goals
• Monitor trends across the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors
• Identify emerging opportunities, innovative organizations, and potential partnerships
• Build and maintain relationships with nonprofit leaders, peer organizations, and community stakeholders
• Support strategic initiatives, special projects, and cross-functional collaboration efforts

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in philanthropy, grantmaking, nonprofit management, philanthropy consulting, community foundations, scholarship programs, fellowships, or related fields
• Strong analytical, research, and critical-thinking skills
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to synthesize complex information and present clear recommendations
• Demonstrated project management experience and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong relationship-building skills and professional presence
• Curiosity, sound judgment, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving
• Passion for mission-driven work and community impact

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $130K-150K+ (somewhat flexible depending on experience)
• This compensation range is a good faith estimate of the expected wage range you can expect to be paid upon hire
