What This Role Involves
- Perform thorough evaluations for a range of patients across age groups using various assessment methods.
- Create tailored treatment plans that address immediate needs and foster long-term communication skills.
- Deliver individualized speech therapy aimed at enhancing language, fluency, voice, and swallowing capabilities.
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and family members, to ensure holistic care for patients.
- Educate patients and their families, empowering them to continue progress outside therapy sessions.
- Support occasional inpatient therapy needs, ensuring seamless transitions and continuity of care throughout the recovery journey.
- Keep precise and up-to-date documentation in accordance with all regulatory requirements.
- Participate in ongoing professional learning and engage with peers for collaborative growth.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is preferred, or active pursuit of ASHA certification.
Required Credentials
- State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Preferred Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within the first month of employment.
