Picker - Day Shift

Job Summary The position of Picker is very repetitive and requires picking parts correctly and within time standards, as shown on computer screens or paperwork. While performing these tasks the candidate must visually check components for quality defects, count the correct amounts of components, and complete paperwork and labels indicating what and how many were picked. The Picker must read part numbers and location IDs from computer screens to gather components from the warehouse, work closely with co‑workers and supervisors, and develop and maintain strong working relationships. Employee must understand and abide by company policies including safety, anti‑harassment, anti‑discrimination and timekeeping policies. Duties And Responsibilities Pick parts correctly in a warehouse work environment. Use the computer system to read pick list. Identify various nuts, bolts, screws, washers, and components by part number. Pick parts in warehouse, identifying locations using the computer system. Complete picking tasks accurately and efficiently. Meet time standards given for each picking task. Use computer to log entries. Daily Tasks Repetitive tasks Stand on feet all day Basic math skills Attention to detail Basic computer skills Good eyesight to see defects or read and write Use a hand truck and pallet jack Communication Tools, Equipment or Vehicles Tablet Common Hand Tools Location & Schedule Position Status: Full Time Day Shift: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM; Monday through Friday Position Location: On‑Site Qualifications 0-1 years warehousing or picking experience; experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus. Ability to lift 45 pounds and be on your feet for 4-8 hours per day. Ability to lift up to 60 pounds occasionally. Strong attention to detail and ability to multi‑task. Trustworthy, autonomous team player; self‑motivated. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Basic mathematical skills. Ability to operate pallet jacks or hand trucks to move materials.
