Occupational Therapy Assistant

Job Summary Complete treatments per initial evaluation completed by OTR. Assess ADL skills. Assist in treatment planning. Monitor response to treatment and modify treatment appropriately, and revise therapy goals in collaboration with OTR. Attend designated clinics, rounds and conferences and render patient information, and complete appropriate documentation. Provide in-service education and community education within the scope of knowledge base. Adhere to supervisory plan. Clinically supervise OTA SL1, OTA students, Rehab Therapy USTs, and volunteers. Minimum Qualifications Associate's degree as an Occupational Therapy Assistant, NYS O.T.A. license and registration, and 2 years eligible clinical experience required. Candidates who possess an Associates degree as an Occupational Therapy Assistant, NYS license or Limited Permit or eligible and less than 2 years experience will be considered for entry level (SL1) position at a commensurate salary. CPR certification required at time of appointment. Preferred Qualifications Work Days: M-F 8-4:30 rotating holidays and weekends.
