CODE WELDER

Position Summary:Responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations to manufacture products to customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:Proficient in assigned welding techniquesInterpretation of mechanical drawings, including weld requirement symbolismWorking knowledge of fixtures and weld set-up parametersConventional and precision measuring instrumentsProcess inspection, certification, and documentationWelding equipment maintenanceFinish grinding applications using manual and power toolsSafety and housekeepingPerform other duties as assigned by the area supervisorRequirements/Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)High school diploma, or equivalentSuccessful completion of an internal welding testOne year experience in various forms of weldingThis position requires frequent standing, talking/hearing, and lifting up to 10 lbs, with occasional sitting, walking, handling, and lifting up to 45 lbs.
