Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 3x12-Hour Night Shifts
Hours: 36 Hours Per Week
Employment Type: Travel / Contract

Compensation

Traveler Package: $2,283 Weekly

• $540 Weekly Taxable Pay
• $1,743 Weekly Stipends

Local Rate: $51/Hour

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide comprehensive respiratory care services to patients across multiple age groups. The Respiratory Therapist will perform both invasive and non-invasive cardiopulmonary procedures, assess patient response to therapy, and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver exceptional patient care in both critical and non-critical care environments.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and monitor their response to respiratory care interventions.
• Perform invasive and non-invasive respiratory diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Administer respiratory treatments in accordance with physician orders and established protocols.
• Evaluate patient outcomes and make recommendations regarding treatment plans.
• Provide respiratory care services to neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations.
• Educate patients and families regarding respiratory conditions, treatment plans, home care, and wellness initiatives.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members regarding cardiopulmonary status and treatment recommendations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and competency assessments.
• Assist with orientation and education of respiratory therapy students and newly hired staff.
• Perform charge therapist and team leadership responsibilities when assigned.
• Adhere to all facility policies, regulatory requirements, and patient safety standards.

Required QualificationsEducation

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program.

Certifications & Licensure

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential issued by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• Current State Respiratory Care License.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (AHA).
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – American Heart Association (AHA).

Experience

• Minimum two (2) years of Respiratory Therapy experience.
• NICU experience required.
• Strong critical care and cardiopulmonary assessment skills.
• Experience performing invasive and non-invasive respiratory procedures.

Preferred QualificationsCertifications

• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), especially for NICU-related assignments.

Experience

• Additional Respiratory Therapy experience beyond the minimum requirement preferred.
• Membership in the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) preferred.
