As a Senior Vice President, Relationship Manager you’ll build and grow complex international client relationships by spotting opportunities, shaping solutions and delivering high-quality service. The role spans origination and deal structuring, creating sharp strategic pitches and proposals, and bringing together partners across HSBC to meet client needs. You’ll apply strong corporate lending and risk assessment capability to support sustainable growth and sound decision making. Success means stronger client outcomes, well-structured deals, effective risk oversight and a portfolio where returns remain aligned to each client’s risk profile.What you'll be doingDevelop relationship strategies that anticipate client needs and position HSBC strongly in this segmentAct as a first point of contact for daily credit-related enquiries while building relationships through client engagementPrepare, structure and present proposals and presentations for clients and prospectsUndertake financial, credit and profitability analysis and produce account remarks and documentationPartner with Group colleagues to deliver needs-based solutions across products and servicesProvide ongoing risk monitoring across Global Standards and Anti-Money Laundering & Sanctions alerts and escalate issues appropriatelyIdentify and execute cross-sell opportunities while staying close to economic, cultural and regulatory factors impacting international businessMonitor portfolio performance against risk profile and take timely corrective action to mitigate losses and improve profitabilityMaintain internal control standards including fraud protection, credit monitoring and approval of team Know Your Customer (KYC) requestsWhat we're looking forBring substantial experience in frontline corporate banking roles covering complex international client relationships across sales and credit or equivalent experienceCoordinate complex RFPs and global pitches with clear ownership from shaping content through to deliveryApply strong credit analysis skills with deep knowledge of corporate banking products and solutionsDeliver origination, deal structuring and high-quality client proposals and presentations for internal and external stakeholdersInfluence and partner effectively with senior stakeholders across a global environmentManage portfolio risk through customer due diligence and KYC including high-risk KYC casesBuild and support high-performing sales teams with a proven record of delivering outcomesHold FINRA Series 79, 63 and SIE or bring equivalent demonstrable licensing experience with ability to obtain within required timelinesBuilding value through global relationshipsThis role sits at the center of HSBC’s global network and client franchise in Corporate and Institutional Banking.
