Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A pharmacy technician position is available for a 13-week contract in Grand Prairie, TX, offering an opportunity to contribute to long-term care pharmacy operations under the supervision of a Registered Pharmacist. This role emphasizes accuracy, inventory management, and maintaining a compliant medication dispensing environment.

Responsibilities:

• Fill prescriptions and prepare medications for dispensing following established standards and regulations.
• Assist the Pharmacist with final verification of medications, including checking and packaging after review.
• Coordinate timely and accurate delivery of medications to customers.
• Support Pharmacy Management by maintaining inventory practices such as receiving, rotating stock, and recording lot numbers and expiration dates.
• Ensure a clean and safe working environment by conducting equipment checks for calibration, safety, and cleanliness.
• Collaborate with the Technician Supervisor to uphold workplace standards.

Qualifications:

• Valid and active Maine pharmacy technician license.
• Experience in long-term care pharmacy or similar environments is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow governmental and organizational regulations.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused environment.
• Excellent organizational and inventory management skills.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Rotating weekends

This contract opportunity does not involve IV preparation and focuses primarily on fulfillment and support duties within the pharmacy team. Candidates should be prepared to provide an updated resume and a copy of their Maine pharmacy technician license upon application.
