Medical Technologist

The College of Veterinary Medicine invites applicants to apply for the position of Medical Technologist, located within the Clinical Pathology Lab of the Biomedical and Diagnostic Sciences department. The primary purpose of this position is to provide technical support by performing routine and specialized clinical laboratory tests in the areas of hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, hemostasis, flow cytometry, blood typing, cross matching, and preparation of cytological samples for evaluation by a pathologist. This position will work weekend and evening shifts.

Responsibilities include specimen preparation and analysis, instrument maintenance, and miscellaneous duties.

Qualifications depend on experience and qualifications of the successful candidate, and may include an associate's or bachelor's degree in medical technology or related field, completion of an accredited medical technology program, and relevant licenses and certifications.

Work location is Knoxville, Tennessee, on-site. Compensation and benefits are within UT market ranges, with an anticipated hiring range of $54,600-$63,204.96. Applications with resume, cover letter, and list of three professional references should be submitted by July 1, 2025.
