Industry Financial Services Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is seeking a Head of Application Development to take on a senior technology leadership role with a focus on driving the strategy, delivery, and modernization of enterprise platforms and customer-facing applications. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing application engineering and Data & AI functions, ensuring the advancement of scalable technology solutions, and maintaining strong operational performance, security, and engineering best practices. This leader will also be instrumental in partnering with executive stakeholders, business teams, and external vendors to support digital transformation initiatives and will be expected to lead and develop high-performing engineering and Data & AI teams. Core responsibilities for the Head of Application Development include establishing development standards, architectural governance, and SDLC best practices, driving modernization initiatives across cloud and enterprise platforms, and collaborating with business stakeholders to define technology roadmaps. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record in leading engineering organizations within complex enterprise settings, particularly in the areas of application modernization, software delivery leadership, cloud technologies, and cross-functional collaboration. Preferred qualifications include over 10 years of progressive software engineering and IT leadership experience, with a specific focus on enterprise application development, and a strong background in software architecture, engineering governance, and agile delivery methodologies.
