Phlebotomist IIPride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist II to support our client's healthcare facility in Columbus OH 43213.Job Details: Schedule: 7 am - 5pm M-F Will also be required to rotate Saturdays Location: Columbus OH 43213 Float / Coverage Area: This is a float position, candidates will travel to prison locations in Orient, OH and London, OH Job Type: [Local contract / Permanent/ Per Diem] Contract Length: 3 months Pay Range: $22/hour* Mileage Reimbursement (if applicable): Yes *Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.Responsibilities: Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc. Collects and stores specimens in accordance with established procedures. Properly explain in a clear but courteous manner the process of the venipuncture (blood drawing) and or other specimen collection (ex. urine or fecal) as required. Demonstrate technique/s using straight needles and/or butterfly needles. Fully understand all of the physicians' orders. Matches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes. Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order. Check all test requisitions or computer labels against the script to ensure 100% correctness. Package specimens for transport. Stores specimens at the required temperature and places them.Qualifications: A High School Diploma or GED is required.
