Dallas Honda | Used Vehicle Acquisition Manager / Buyer

Dallas Honda is expanding its used vehicle operation and is looking for a driven, relationship-focused Used Vehicle Buyer to help take our pre-owned business to the next level. This role is critical to our growth strategy as we work to increase our used vehicle sales volume from 75-80 units per month to 120+ units monthly.

Success in this position comes from building a strong acquisition pipeline through service lane opportunities, customer outreach, market analysis, and strategic purchasing decisions. We're looking for someone who thrives on creating exceptional customer experiences, follows proven processes, and understands how to identify and acquire the right inventory to meet business objectives.

What You'll Do

• Drive used vehicle acquisition efforts through the service drive, customer retention opportunities, direct purchases, auctions, and dealer networks.
• Identify, appraise, and acquire high-quality pre-owned inventory that aligns with market demand and dealership goals.
• Build relationships with service customers and provide a seamless, professional vehicle appraisal and acquisition experience.
• Partner with Sales, Service, and Leadership teams to develop and execute strategies that increase inventory and support used vehicle sales growth.
• Analyze market trends, vehicle values, and inventory needs to make informed purchasing decisions.
• Utilize dealership tools and CRM systems to manage acquisition opportunities and maintain an organized workflow.
• Ensure timely and accurate completion of all acquisition documentation and vehicle processing.
• Maintain a consistent pipeline of opportunities through proactive outreach and follow-up activities.
• Meet acquisition and inventory growth objectives while delivering a best-in-class customer experience.

What You'll Bring

• Previous experience in automotive vehicle acquisition, used car buying, appraisal, sales, service drive acquisition, or inventory management.
• Strong understanding of vehicle valuation, market trends, and inventory management strategies.
• Exceptional customer service and relationship-building skills with the ability to create trust and drive results.
• Experience working structured processes and maintaining accurate records and follow-up activities.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Analytical skills with the ability to make sound business decisions based on market data and vehicle demand.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
