School-Based Speech Language Pathologist - Chesterton, Indiana

Job Description

Degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a rewarding role supporting students’ communication growth as a School Speech-Language Pathologist for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract opportunity is ideal for professionals passionate about helping children thrive. Two positions are available, serving either a dedicated preschool caseload or a mixed preschool/elementary caseload.

Whether you're an experienced SLP with your CCCs or a Clinical Fellow seeking expert supervision, your expertise will be valued. Preference is given to in-person engagement; however, a flexible hybrid schedule can be considered for the right candidate. The assignment runs full-time, 7.5 hours per day, from August 10, 2026, through May 28, 2027.

Qualifications:

Valid Indiana SLP license required
Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; Clinical Fellows considered with supervision provided
Experience working with preschool and/or elementary age groups
Strong collaboration, organization, and communication skills
Comfortable with IEP development and implementation

Responsibilities:

Deliver speech and language therapy services to assigned students in preschool and/or elementary settings
Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document progress
Participate in IEP meetings, providing expert input and recommendations
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including teachers, staff, and families
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations
Foster positive, supportive learning environments for student growth
