Pharmacist | Schenectady, New York

A direct hire opportunity is available for a licensed pharmacist to manage pharmacy operations at a retail location in Plattsburgh, NY. This role requires a motivated professional to oversee daily activities, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:

• Register as supervising pharmacist or pharmacist in charge with the state board of pharmacy.
• Maintain pharmacy compliance with federal, state, and company regulations.
• Manage pharmacy operations to meet financial goals including budgeting, payroll, third party administration, scheduling, and inventory control.
• Lead pharmacy support personnel, ensuring performance standards and company policies are met.
• Provide guidance, training, and accountability for pharmacy associates.
• Facilitate completion of required training programs by all team members.
• Deliver patient-focused services including immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), and wellness programs.
• Counsel patients and healthcare providers about medication usage, interactions, side effects, and monitor therapy compliance.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement to promote patient safety.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and department facilities per company and legal standards.
• Fulfill continuing education requirements as mandated by state law.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid New York State pharmacist license.
• Immunization certification and comfort administering all vaccines are mandatory.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication abilities for patient and provider counseling.
• Experience with pharmacy operations management preferred.

Schedule and Location:

• Based in Plattsburgh, NY.
• Variable schedule with occasional evening shifts.
• Typical workweeks include four 10- or 12-hour shifts (e.g., 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM).
