Candidates should reside within a reasonable commuting distance of our North Canton office to support team collaboration and business needs.Position SummaryThis position is responsible for maintaining and supporting existing server infrastructure.Essential FunctionsProvide rotating server environment support, including responding to incoming calls and/or e-mails regarding hardware or software issues. Work closely with various IT teams and service providers to troubleshoot and resolve a range of server-related issuesMonitor server systems performance and provide performance reports to managementPerform analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex problemsRecommend, schedule, and perform server security patchingPractice hardware asset management, including maintenance of hardware inventoryLiaise with, and provide training and support to, helpdesk support staff on server-related issuesLiaise with development staff to provision and maintain development servers and systemsPrepare and ensure accuracy of documentation, procedures manuals, and help sheets for server software installationsAid in development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans, and maintain current knowledge of plan executable. Respond to emergency server/datacenter outages in accordance with business continuity and disaster recovery plansQualifications2 years as a Systems AdministratorKnowledge of Windows 2008/2012, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP requiredMCSA preferred but not requiredCitrix XenApp 6.5 and/or VMWare ESXi 5.5 experience preferred but not requiredOther duties as assignedMust be able to meet established deliverable dates and project schedulesThe ability and genuine desire to quickly learn new skills and technologiesThe ability to work independently as well as interface and work well with management, peers, customers and vendors in a team settingMust be willing to provide 7 x 24 support of systems developed and maintained and able/willing to take initiative to solve problems in a timely fashion with proactive, creative and aggressive problem diagnosis and solving skillsThe ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environmentExcellent oral and written communications skillsNote: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
