PRN Front Desk Coordinator

Job Overview Azura's outpatient vascular centers offer a predictable schedule with no weekends or holidays. The Patient Services Coordinator coordinates pre-procedure scheduling, medical records, and revenue cycle activities in a patient‑focused environment. Principal Duties & Responsibilities Schedule and input all appointments into the scheduling module in a timely and efficient manner. Assure all pre‑procedural/preoperative activities are scheduled or completed. Manage patient and center cancellations and additions to schedules per center parameters. Print patient schedules and pull patient charts daily. Facilitate admission process: greeting patients and visitors, obtaining IDs and insurance information. Assemble and maintain confidential patient medical and financial records. Complete front‑end billing process ensuring accurate data entry into registration module. Perform insurance verification and obtain prior authorization as required. Assist with patient transportation per company policy. Ensure signatures on all necessary charts and admission data per FMCNA policies. Scan, file, and complete records within 24 hours of visit. Communicate procedural and insurance changes to internal parties and patients. Conduct daily encounter checks to assure reporting accuracy. Coordinate collection, processing, storage, retrieval, documentation, and distribution of medical records per policy. Maintain records logs for medical record releases. Provide information to research or study projects involving patient care. Oversee movements of materials in and out of the office, including inventory shipments and deliveries. Perform other duties as assigned. Physical Demands & Working Conditions Work environment in a health care facility with air temperature control and moderate noise levels. May be exposed to infectious materials. Includes desk and computer work, patient interaction, and facility staff coordination. Supervision None. Education High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate Degree or higher preferred. Experience & Required Skills 1–2 years of related experience, preferably in a medical setting with insurance billing. Proficient with computers and software such as Microsoft Office. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously. Ability to adapt to supporting software applications.
