RN – Med Surg / Float Pool (Travel | Nights)

MS Float Pool with PCU float. Same clinical requirements as the travel role.

Note: This is a 4-week assignment and is extended based on performance and facility needs. The hospital often prefers travelers who are open to renewing every 4 weeks for ongoing coverage.

Job Details

• Med Surg Float Pool
• Acute care hospital environment
• Must be willing to float to PCU
• Fast-paced unit with strong team collaboration
• Night Shift: 3x12 (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Requirements

• Active California RN License
• BLS required (ACLS preferred)
• Recent 2 years of Med-Surg experience in an acute care facility
• PCU experience required (nurses will float to PCU)

Responsibilities

• Perform admission assessments and ongoing reassessments
• Develop, implement, and update individualized plans of care
• Administer medications following the 7 rights
• Monitor and document patient responses and pain management
• Use SBAR for all handoffs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Follow infection control policies and National Patient Safety Goals
