LOCATION: SPECIALTY BAKERSFIELD (AHSB) - Day Shift - 4x10's. Must have experience with Vinci robot ( General) Mako Robot

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical circulator duties during operations, ensuring patient safety and flow.

• Collaborate with OR team to prepare rooms, equipment, and supplies for procedures.

• Assist anesthesia team with patient monitoring and communication during surgery.

• Adhere to sterile technique and infection control standards consistently.

• Document intraoperative details accurately in patient records.

• Identify and manage equipment malfunctions promptly, coordinating with biomedical staff.

• Demonstrate growth mindset by pursuing ongoing professional development and certifications.

• Maintain high visibility of work activity and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

• Support patient safety initiatives and participate in post-operative debriefs.

• Support OR scheduling and pipeline metrics to optimize throughput and target achievement.

• Provide compassionate patient and family communication before, during, and after procedures.

Experience/Qualifications

• Registered Nurse licensed to practice in the applicable state.

• Current perioperative or operating room circulator certification preferred.

• Proficiency in sterile technique and infection control standards.

• Minimum 2 years OR circulator or scrub experience.

• Ability to monitor patient status and communicate with anesthesia team.

• Technical aptitude to identify and escalate equipment malfunctions.

• Understanding of OR throughput, scheduling, and pipeline metrics.

• Strong documentation skills for intraoperative records.

• Demonstrated commitment to professional development and certifications.

• Excellent patient and family communication, with compassionate bedside manner.
