Snapshot / Role Overview
We're looking for a Construction Safety Officer in the Reno area to lead field safety on a major mechanical construction project spanning HVAC, plumbing, piping, and MEP scopes.
Impact
Protect crews and subcontractors through daily field presence.
Reduce incidents and improve the experience modification rate through consistent OSHA compliance.
Be the go-to safety resource for foremen, superintendents, and the general contractor.
Keep high-risk work such as fall protection and crane operations safe and on schedule.
Responsibilities
Conduct daily inspections and safety observations across all work areas.
Monitor compliance with OSHA, site-specific safety plans, and customer requirements.
Document inspections, corrective actions, and safety activities.
Lead orientations, toolbox talks, and stand-downs.
Review JHAs, AHAs, and pre-task plans before high-hazard work.
Investigate incidents and near misses.
Must-Haves
Field safety experience on large commercial or industrial construction projects.
Working knowledge of OSHA construction standards.
Experience with fall protection and crane safety.
Nice-to-Haves
OSHA 30 or CHST.
Mechanical trade background.
Compensation and Logistics
Competitive salary depending on experience, plus benefits. Full-time on the project site in the Reno area.
