Marketing Manager

An established and growing lifestyle business specialising in creating distinctive gift collections inspired by storytelling, heritage, culture and design. With over 30 years of experience, the business works with retail partners, specialist stores, visitor attractions and ecommerce customers across the UK, USA and international markets. Following an exciting period of growth, they are looking for a commercially driven Marketing Manager to help accelerate revenue growth, strengthen customer relationships and develop the brand across multiple sales channels. The Opportunity This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded Sales & Marketing Manager who understands that marketing should drive sales, customer engagement and business growth . The role combines sales strategy, account development, trade marketing, digital marketing, brand development and campaign execution , providing the opportunity to influence both short-term commercial performance and long-term business growth. Working closely with the Sales Director, Product, Design and Ecommerce teams, you will develop strategies that increase revenue, support customer acquisition, strengthen retailer relationships and maximise opportunities across UK and international markets. You will take ownership of marketing activity while ensuring campaigns, content and brand initiatives directly support commercial objectives. Key Responsibilities Sales Strategy & Commercial Growth Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies to drive revenue growth. Work closely with the Sales Director to identify new commercial opportunities. Support new business development and customer acquisition activity. Build strong relationships with retail partners, distributors and key accounts. Identify opportunities to increase sales across trade, ecommerce and consumer channels. Use market insight and customer data to influence commercial decisions. Support sales forecasting, pipeline development and reporting. Trade Marketing & Customer Engagement Develop marketing activity that supports retailer growth and sales performance. Create sales materials, product launches, presentations and promotional campaigns. Work closely with customers to understand their needs and maximise opportunities. Support retailer engagement through email campaigns, promotions and targeted communications. Manage trade marketing activity across key platforms and channels. Support customer retention and account growth strategies. Brand & Marketing Strategy Develop and deliver the annual sales and marketing plan. Strengthen brand positioning and market awareness. Ensure marketing activity supports commercial goals. Work with Product and Design teams to successfully launch new collections. Maintain consistent brand messaging across all customer touchpoints. Digital Marketing & Ecommerce Growth Support growth across B2B, B2C and marketplace channels. Work closely with Ecommerce teams to improve customer journeys and conversion. Support SEO, content, merchandising and promotional activity. Identify opportunities to increase online sales and customer engagement. Ensure digital channels support wider sales objectives. Consumer Marketing & Content Deliver campaigns designed to increase awareness, engagement and revenue. Develop social media and content strategies across UK and international markets. Identify opportunities through influencer, creator and partnership activity. Work with the Marketing & Content Creator to deliver engaging commercial campaigns. Ensure content supports both brand growth and sales performance. Events & Trade Shows Lead commercial marketing activity for key trade events. Own planning and execution of flagship exhibitions. Coordinate product launches, customer communications and sales materials. Manage lead generation, follow-up activity and event reporting. Identify opportunities to convert events into measurable sales results. Licensing & Partnerships Work with licensing partners to maximise commercial opportunities. Support product launches and collaborative marketing initiatives. Leverage partnerships to increase brand reach and sales opportunities. Performance & Reporting Measure sales and marketing performance across all channels. Analyse campaign results, customer engagement and ROI. Track lead generation, conversion and commercial outcomes. Provide recommendations to improve sales effectiveness. Use AI and emerging technologies to improve productivity and marketing efficiency. About You You are a commercially focused sales and marketing professional who understands how to turn ideas into revenue. You enjoy working in a fast-paced SME environment where you can take ownership, influence strategy and remain hands-on with execution. You are equally comfortable developing a sales opportunity, analysing campaign performance, building customer relationships and delivering marketing activity. You will have a strong understanding of how marketing supports the sales process and are motivated by measurable commercial results. Skills & Experience Required Proven experience within a Sales, Marketing or Commercial role. B2C and B2B wholesale experience. Strong track record of supporting revenue growth. Experience developing and managing customer relationships. Experience delivering marketing campaigns that generate commercial results. Strong understanding of trade marketing and customer engagement. Experience working with ecommerce, CRM and digital marketing channels. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Commercially aware with strong analytical ability. Experience managing projects, campaigns or internal stakeholders. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Experience managing creative resource, agencies or team members. Experience with platforms such as Faire, Zoho, Shopify or similar would also be beneficial.
