Exciting Opportunity at MSK Join the Dermatology Service as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP)! Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is seeking an experienced and collaborative Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join our Dermatology/Mohs Surgery team. This role focuses on providing comprehensive perioperative and longitudinal care for patients undergoing Mohs micrographic surgery and other dermatologic surgery procedures within a multidisciplinary oncology environment. We are seeking candidates with procedural experience and a strong interest in skin cancer and surgical dermatology. Candidates must have First Assist experience/certification (PA or RNFA). Role Overview The APP will provide comprehensive perioperative and longitudinal care for patients undergoing Mohs micrographic surgery and other dermatologic surgery procedures. This role emphasizes procedural assistance, independent patient management, and coordination of care within a multidisciplinary cancer center. Core Responsibilities Conduct preoperative evaluations for patients undergoing Mohs surgery Perform postoperative assessments, including wound evaluation and complication management Diagnose and manage common dermatologic conditions in patients with skin cancers Provide longitudinal surveillance for high-risk skin cancer patients Procedural Support Assist intraoperatively during Mohs surgery Perform minor dermatologic procedures including biopsies, cryotherapy, and ED&C Patient Education & Counseling Counsel patients on diagnosis, procedural expectations, wound care, and scar management Provide education on skin cancer prevention and surveillance strategies Care Coordination Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams managing high-risk skin cancer patients Facilitate referrals and follow-up care within MSK Coordinate perioperative care for complex oncology patients, including anticoagulation management and immunosuppression considerations Key Qualifications Current NJS NP or PA licensure/registration (or eligibility) National certification as an NP or PA Prior dermatology, surgical, procedural, oncology, or Mohs experience preferred Strong procedural and patient management skills Core Skills Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking Excellent procedural and perioperative care skillsCollaborative and team-oriented approach Compassionate communicator focused on patient-centered care Ability to manage complex oncology patients in a fast-paced environment Additional Information Location: MSK Basking Ridge, 136 Mountainview Blvd, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920 Schedule: 4 - 10 hour shifts, no weekends or holidays Reports to: Associate Director, APP Pay Range: $136,400.00 - $225,100.00 FSLA Status: Exempt MSK is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer committed to diversity and inclusion in all aspects of recruiting and employment.
